The Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) is inviting applications for the position of Research Associate – Health Economics. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to impactful research that influences health systems and public policy across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement studies in health economics and health systems.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using various datasets.
- Support econometric modeling, impact evaluations, and policy analysis.
- Contribute to policy briefs, reports, and academic publications.
- Translate research findings into actionable policy recommendations.
- Engage stakeholders through workshops and policy dialogues.
- Assist with proposal development and resource mobilization.
- Collaborate with research and policy partners.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Economics, Health Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in health research or public health policy.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in research tools such as Stata, R, and Python.
- Evidence of technical writing ability; published outputs are advantageous.
- Experience in development sectors or think tanks is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, initiative, and organizational skills.
