Overview

This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in humanitarian protection programming, focusing on vulnerable populations in Northwest Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and coach Case Workers in case management processes
• Conduct case conferences and escalate critical cases when necessary
• Ensure timely follow-up and quality handling of all cases
• Assign cases based on complexity, experience, and workload balance
• Monitor documentation, reporting, and adherence to SOPs
• Conduct case audits and ensure compliance with protection standards
• Support psychosocial care and basic counselling guidance
• Identify protection trends and contribute to monthly reports
• Coordinate with service providers and maintain referral pathways
• Promote a positive team environment and staff well-being

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
• Master’s degree is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in protection or case management
• At least 2 years in a supervisory/team leadership role
• Experience in humanitarian settings is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of case management SOPs and inter-agency guidelines
• Ability to provide psychosocial support and staff coaching
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet)
