Overview
PATH is seeking a State Program Manager to coordinate a multi-component project aimed at improving routine immunization coverage in Kebbi State, Nigeria. This role involves leading field teams, coordinating with health authorities, overseeing partners, monitoring project performance, and reporting to PATH leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Kebbi State health officials and Local Government Area health facilities to set priorities and locations for Mobile Immunization Teams and support microplanning.
- Oversee partner organizations responsible for administration of Mobile Immunization Teams, community engagement, and data monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain strong working relationships with state officials and organizations working on immunization and health programmes.
- Ensure quality training for Mobile Immunization Teams in collaboration with local partners.
- Manage the Senior Field Officer and oversee the supervision structure supporting up to 16 Field Officers.
- Coordinate the PATH Kebbi routine immunization team, integrating data collection, reporting, community engagement, and outreach.
- Coordinate this project with other PATH projects in Kebbi State.
- Monitor workplans and deliverables, identify challenges, and revise approaches as needed.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to PATH and donors and ensure accurate records.
- Monitor vaccine and supply availability and address gaps.
- Monitor adherence to budget against the workplan.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Leader and PATH systems.
- Plan and coordinate stakeholder meetings.
- Serve as a member of the Project Leadership Team.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in public health with at least 7 years of experience in health service delivery. Experience in immunization service delivery is strongly preferred.
- Strong project leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with national and state level officials and partners.
- Proven experience leading teams and providing supervision and mentorship.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel within Kebbi State as required.
