1. Senior People & Culture Partner / HR Business Partner (HRBP)

About the Role
The Senior People & Culture Partner (also known as HRBP) is a pivotal role within UBS, responsible for implementing and executing the People & Culture Strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic initiatives.
The role involves partnering with leadership, managers, and employees across the global network to foster a resilient, inclusive, and effective workplace culture.
The successful candidate will serve as a strategic adviser, coach, and change agent, supporting organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, and HR operations globally. This role requires working closely with various internal teams, external HR consultants, and partner organizations to deliver integrated HR solutions that support UBS’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership and Leadership Support
- Act as the first point of contact for leaders and managers regarding HR strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify organizational needs such as succession planning, workforce planning, and team culture.
- Provide coaching and guidance on HR policies, performance management, and leadership development.
- Support organizational restructuring, advising on impact and managing change processes to minimize disruption.
- Assist in designing organizational structures and defining roles that align with UBS’s strategic goals.
Employee-Centric Approach
- Serve as an employee champion by acting as a trusted point of contact for staff issues, concerns, and queries.
- Support managers in employee relations matters, including performance issues, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Promote a culture of wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion across the organization.
- Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Lead international recruitment initiatives, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversee workforce planning processes to align staffing needs with strategic objectives.
- Support onboarding, learning and development, and talent management activities.
Organizational Development and Change Management
- Collaborate on designing and implementing change management strategies.
- Advise leaders on restructuring, role redesign, and strategic HR practices.
- Support the digitalization of HR processes for efficiency and improved service delivery.
HR Policy and Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations in various jurisdictions.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate policy reviews and updates with relevant stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Chartered Member of CIPD or equivalent professional HR qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or related fields (Masters preferred).
- Minimum of five years’ experience in HR Business Partnering or HR management, ideally in a global or multi-cultural environment.
- Experience in organizational development, change management, and employee relations.
- Demonstrable experience in influencing senior leadership and managing complex HR projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and foster relationships across diverse cultures.
- High level of resilience, self-motivation, and adaptability.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within Christian or faith-based organizations.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and digital HR tools.
- Experience in coaching, mediation, and conflict resolution.
- Additional language skills are a plus.

About the Role
The People & Culture Coordinator (Policy Compliance & Safeguarding) plays a vital role in ensuring that UBS operates with integrity, transparency, and compliance across all jurisdictions.
This role focuses on coordinating safeguarding initiatives, HR governance, policy management, and compliance processes to foster an ethical, safe, and legally compliant workplace culture.
The successful candidate will support internal safeguarding systems, assist with investigations, maintain accurate compliance records, and oversee policy updates across the organization. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with experience in HR, safeguarding, or legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Safeguarding Program Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and update safeguarding templates, reporting forms, and guidance documents.
- Coordinate safeguarding training sessions, tracking attendance, and ensuring compliance.
- Manage safeguarding documentation repositories, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Support the onboarding process for new staff or partners by delivering safeguarding and Code of Conduct briefings.
- Assist in investigations related to safeguarding concerns, preparing documentation and collating evidence.
HR Governance & Policy Management
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate policy reviews, ensuring alignment with legal standards and best practices.
- Support the drafting and editing of HR policies and procedures.
- Track compliance with policies and escalate breaches or issues as needed.
Contract & Legal Compliance
- Coordinate review and updates of employment contracts, liaising with legal counsel or local HR advisors.
- Maintain records of contract templates and ensure compliance with local laws.
- Support risk assessments related to employment and HR-related issues.
- Assist with insurance policy management, ensuring coverage and renewal processes are followed.
Employee Relations & Investigations
- Support employee relations activities, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability procedures.
- Prepare case documentation, schedule meetings, and keep accurate records.
- Ensure all case files are securely stored in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
Promoting a Culture of Compliance and Ethics
- Advocate for safeguarding awareness, ethical conduct, and compliance across the organization.
- Support internal communication efforts to promote policies, procedures, and training updates.
- Collaborate with legal, safeguarding, and HR teams to ensure continuous improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in HR, safeguarding, compliance, or related fields.
- Undergraduate degree in law, social sciences, HR, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safeguarding standards, employment law, and HR governance.
- Experience in handling confidential information and workplace investigations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and across time zones.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HRIS systems.
Desirable Skills
- Legal studies or paralegal background.
- Experience with safeguarding IT systems and training tools.
- Ability to travel occasionally for training or investigations.
- Prior experience working with faith-based or international NGOs.
