Btrust is seeking a highly organized, execution-oriented Programs & Operations Officer to oversee and support the delivery of its programs, grants, community initiatives, and events.

The Role: Programs & Operations Officer
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Programs and Operations, Stephanie Titcombe, and collaborate across various teams including Engineering, Communications, and external partners.
This role is ideal for a proactive operator who enjoys coordinating complex workstreams, streamlining systems, and taking ownership of critical projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Community Operations Management
- Own the day-to-day management of Btrust Builders programs and education pathways, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate with faculty, mentors, guest speakers, and community members to facilitate smooth program execution.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, trackers, dashboards, and internal knowledge bases to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support and support Btrust-supported grassroots communities like BitDevs, including onboarding new chapters, managing records, and organizing recurring meetups.
Grant & Event Support
- Track activities, budgets, and reporting requirements for community initiatives and grants, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
- Oversee the operational lifecycle of education and event grants, from application processing to contract management, disbursement, and reporting.
- Assist in planning and executing virtual and physical events, including flagship gatherings like the Btrust Annual Conference and Developer Summit.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Contribute to the development and refinement of workflows, templates, playbooks, and internal systems to enhance efficiency.
- Act as a dependable partner to the Head of Programs and Operations, owning specific workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Support special projects and initiatives, especially during peak program or event periods, ensuring successful delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across Engineering, Communications, and external partners to align activities and achieve organizational goals.
- Foster strong relationships with community members and stakeholders to strengthen Btrust’s impact.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in program coordination, operations, or similar roles focused on execution.
- Proven experience supporting multi-stakeholder programs, grants, or community initiatives.
- Prior experience in nonprofits, NGOs, or grant-funded organizations is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional organizational and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a remote, distributed environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Notion, Google Workspace, and other collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to own operational tasks from planning through execution and reporting.
Additional Assets
- Interest in Bitcoin, open-source communities, technology education, or developer ecosystems.
- Familiarity with community building, event management, and grant administration.
