    Open to applicants in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, and Zambia, the initiative equips participants with practical skills, mentorship, and cutting-edge technological knowledge to drive transformative environmental change.

    About the AIM4Forests Initiative

    AIM4Forests (Accelerating Innovative Monitoring for Forests) focuses on strengthening forest monitoring systems using innovative tools and data-driven approaches. Through the Young Forest Champions Initiative, the programme invests directly in youth leadership to protect and restore vital forest ecosystems.

    Building on its successful implementation in Kenya, the initiative is now expanding to:

    • Ghana
    • Indonesia
    • Peru
    • Uganda
    • Zambia

    In 2026, ten young leaders per country will be selected to join a dynamic international network committed to safeguarding forests and strengthening climate resilience.

    Who Can Apply for the AIM4Forests Initiative ?

    • Be 18 to 30 years old at the time of application
    • Be a current university student or recent graduate
    • Reside in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, or Zambia
    • Have intermediate or higher proficiency in English
    • Have a reliable internet connection
    • Commit to full participation in all initiative activities throughout 2026

    Additional Advantages

    While not mandatory, the following will strengthen an application:
