    Job Description

    Overview

    The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD-West Africa) is seeking a Programme Officer (Governance, Peace and Security) to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of programmes focused on democratic governance, peacebuilding, and inclusive civic participation. This role aims to advance youth and women’s empowerment and strengthen gender inclusion within governance and security processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of programmes focused on democratic governance, peacebuilding, and inclusive civic participation.
    • Advance youth and women’s empowerment.
    • Strengthen gender inclusion within governance and security processes.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    • 4–5 years’ experience in programme management, implementation, or coordination (or 3 years with a Master’s degree in the development sector).
    • Strong project coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Experience working with programme management tools such as LFA or RBM.
    • Fluency in English (French and/or Portuguese is an added advantage).
