Overview

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF Belgium) is seeking Nurses for a Reserve Pool position in Kebbi State, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in line with MSF protocols and medical prescriptions
• Ensure infection prevention and control standards are strictly followed
• Assist during consultations, ward rounds, emergency care and triage
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report any deterioration
• Support admission, referral, and follow-up of patients
• Participate in health education for patients and caregivers
• Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and reports
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies
• Support pharmacy stock control and medical equipment inventory
• Participate in data collection and handover between shifts
• Supervise and support nurse aides and other assigned staff
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing Science or Diploma in Nursing
• Valid license to practice
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with MSF, an NGO, INGO, or private health facility
• Experience supervising and training team members
• Good knowledge of infection prevention and control
• Basic knowledge of malnutrition management protocols
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and stress management skills
• English required; Hausa is an advantage
