Overview
CTG is hiring a Field Support Assistant to support hygiene and non-food item distribution activities in Northeast Nigeria. This role involves planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Community Engagement and Risk Communication activities in WASH.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct WASH needs assessments using standard tools
- Facilitate key informant interviews and focus group discussions
- Plan and execute WASH-related distributions following standard procedures
- Document and report all distributions and post-intervention monitoring
- Collect and report success stories, transcribe and translate qualitative data
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and program units
- Support shelter construction and WASH infrastructure activities as required
- Maintain accurate records of reports, pictures, and data collection
- Ensure adherence to data confidentiality and organizational standards
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Business, Economics, or relevant field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in CCCM, Shelter, NFI, WASH, or humanitarian/development work
- Knowledge of mobile data collection tools (Kobo, ODK) and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in participatory methods and community engagement
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and stay in high-risk areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, organize, and maintain attention to detail
- Respect for diversity and inclusion, high ethical standards
