Overview
The Coalition for Good Schools is seeking a Communications Consultant to support its strategic communications, campaign execution, and content development. This part-time, remote consultancy is focused on preventing violence against children (VAC) in schools, with a strong emphasis on Global South-led strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an annual communications strategy.
- Enhance branding materials and develop a media press kit.
- Co-lead a global communications campaign on preventing VAC in schools.
- Conduct capacity-building sessions on communications best practices.
- Produce video/audio clips and podcasts showcasing member perspectives.
- Develop an onboarding kit for new members and partners.
- Manage MailChimp newsletters and updates.
- Oversee social media accounts using content calendars.
- Create visual content for social media.
- Build and maintain a photo/video bank.
Requirements
- Passionate about violence prevention, child protection, or gender-transformative education.
- Proven experience in strategic communications for non-profits, advocacy, or activist organizations.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Spanish proficiency is a strong asset.
- Experience with design software (InDesign, Adobe, Canva).
- Familiarity with MailChimp, WordPress, and other tech platforms.
- Ability to unify diverse opinions and maintain a consistent visual identity.
- Understanding of international development, social justice, and VAC prevention in schools.
- Experience in education and child protection initiatives is a major asset.
