CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: DIGITAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (COHORT II)
For Young Girls, Women, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
The Women Environmental Programme (WEP) is pleased to invite applications for its Digital Skills Development Programme (Cohort II) under the WomenPower2030: Feminist Accelerate Action for Sustainable Development Project.
This initiative is designed to empower young girls, women, and persons with disabilities by equipping them with practical digital and ICT skills needed to thrive in today’s digital economy.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
This is a free 12-week (3-month) intensive training programme that provides hands-on learning across multiple high-demand digital skill areas. Participants will gain practical experience, build portfolios, and develop job-ready competencies.
COURSES OFFERED
1. Office Suite Essentials
Learn the fundamentals of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Gain skills in file management, digital communication, and productivity tools for academic, professional, and business use.
2. Graphic Design
Develop creative design skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. Learn to create engaging visuals for branding, marketing, and social media while building a professional portfolio.
3. Video Editing
Acquire hands-on experience in video creation and editing. Learn storytelling techniques, content planning, and production skills useful for digital campaigns, business promotion, and content creation.
4. UI/UX Design
Understand the principles of user interface and user experience design. Learn wireframing, prototyping, and user journey mapping using tools like Figma, and build a beginner design portfolio.
5. Web Development (WordPress CMS)
Gain practical knowledge in building and managing websites using WordPress. Learn domain setup, theme customization, plugin integration, and how to create fully functional websites without coding.

WomenPower2030 is a global initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by a consortium of feminist organizations led by Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF). The project focuses on strengthening feminist movements, promoting gender equality, and advancing sustainable development through advocacy and capacity building.
