Overview

Applications are now open for the DPI Governance in Africa Fellowship 2026, an innovative program designed to empower early-career African researchers to critically explore how Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) is shaping governance, inclusion, and human rights across the continent.

Eligibility

• Open to early-career researchers, digital rights advocates, policy analysts, and professionals interested in AI governance and public infrastructure.
• Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to community-centered research, inclusive technology development, and a strong interest in human rights and digital policy.

Benefits

• Duration: Three months (June to August 2026)
• Stipend: $300 per month (total $900)
• Engagement: Bi-weekly virtual seminars and collaborative sessions
