    Job Description

    Overview

    The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is seeking an experienced fundraising professional for the role of Major Gifts Officer to join its Development team. This position focuses on expanding philanthropic support for ICTJ’s mission by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major individual donors and family foundations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects, guiding them through the full donor lifecycle.
    • Develop and execute personalized engagement strategies and oversee an annual donor engagement strategy.
    • Plan and produce annual benefit and cultivation events, collaborating with communications colleagues.
    • Assist the Director of Development in managing top donors and foundation prospects, conducting prospect research, and maintaining detailed donor records in the CRM system.
    • Partner with program and finance teams to prepare proposals and reports, and collaborate with executive leadership on cultivation strategies.
    • Undertake other development-related tasks and projects as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum of four years of fundraising experience, with experience in international affairs or related sectors preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in managing donor portfolios and achieving fundraising targets.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge).
    • Familiarity with prospect research tools (e.g., Kindsight, iWave, Candid).
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

    Benefits

    • Salary Range: $65,000–$85,000 annually.
