    Job Description

    Overview

    The African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) is seeking a Program Officer to support the coordination of the EUDR Learning Community for Africa, a multi-stakeholder platform focused on navigating the EU Deforestation Regulation and strengthening sustainable coffee supply chains.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and facilitating collaboration.
    • Organizing workshops, webinars, and peer learning sessions.
    • Supporting knowledge management, including documentation, reporting, and dissemination of insights.
    • Maintaining relationships with partners, producers, and stakeholders.
    • Monitoring project progress and contributing to strategic planning and evaluation.

    Requirements

    • Experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder platforms.
    • Strong interest or experience in sustainability, traceability, and value chain development, particularly in coffee or agriculture.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work remotely and independently, preferably based in Africa.
    • Familiarity with EU regulations, environmental compliance, or sustainable sourcing is an advantage.

    Benefits

    Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable based on performance and funding.
