Overview
The African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) is seeking a Program Officer to support the coordination of the EUDR Learning Community for Africa, a multi-stakeholder platform focused on navigating the EU Deforestation Regulation and strengthening sustainable coffee supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and facilitating collaboration.
- Organizing workshops, webinars, and peer learning sessions.
- Supporting knowledge management, including documentation, reporting, and dissemination of insights.
- Maintaining relationships with partners, producers, and stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and contributing to strategic planning and evaluation.
Requirements
- Experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Strong interest or experience in sustainability, traceability, and value chain development, particularly in coffee or agriculture.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work remotely and independently, preferably based in Africa.
- Familiarity with EU regulations, environmental compliance, or sustainable sourcing is an advantage.
Benefits
Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable based on performance and funding.
