Plan International has launched a global recruitment drive for experienced Education in Emergencies (EiE) Specialists to join its international emergency response roster. The opportunity is designed for humanitarian professionals who can be rapidly deployed to crisis-affected regions worldwide to strengthen education programming and protect children’s right to learning during emergencies.

About the Opportunity

The Education in Emergencies Specialist will become part of Plan International’s global humanitarian roster, a network of technical experts available for deployment to emergency operations around the world.

Roster members may be deployed for assignments lasting up to three months, supporting humanitarian responses during natural disasters, conflicts, displacement crises, and other emergencies.

Supporting Education During Humanitarian Crises

Leading rapid Education Needs Assessments
Supporting Multi-Sector Needs Assessments (MSNAs)
Designing emergency education programmes
Coordinating implementation with local partners
Monitoring and evaluating programme quality
Building frontline staff capacity
Supporting learning continuity during crises
Integrating education with child protection, nutrition, food security, and Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) programmes
Representing Plan International within Education Cluster coordination mechanisms
Supporting humanitarian advocacy and policy engagement

Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS)
