    Applications are now open for the 2026 intake of the elea Talent Program (eTP), a two-year professional development initiative designed for talented university graduates seeking careers in entrepreneurship, impact investing, and international development.

    For the first time, elea is recruiting a dedicated South African cohort, marking a significant expansion of the organization’s global talent pipeline. Successful candidates will join the program in January 2027 and will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    elea Talent Program (eTP) First South African Cohort Marks Major Expansion

    The launch of the South African cohort represents a strategic milestone for elea as it strengthens its presence in regions where it supports entrepreneurs and businesses addressing social and economic challenges.

    According to the organization, recruiting and developing local talent enhances its ability to identify, understand, and support entrepreneurial solutions in emerging markets while creating meaningful employment opportunities for young professionals in Africa.

    Going forward, the elea Talent Program will recruit participants across its three global hubs:

    • Johannesburg, South Africa
    • Mexico City, Mexico
    • Zurich, Switzerland

    Each year, elea will announce which location will host recruitment for the upcoming cohort and provide details on the application process.

    What is the elea Talent Program?

    The elea Talent Program is designed to provide graduates with hands-on exposure to entrepreneurship, investment, and business development across emerging markets.

    Over a two-year period, associates gain practical experience across all functions of elea’s operating model while receiving continuous training, mentorship, coaching, and support from the organization’s international team.

    Participants will work closely with innovative businesses and entrepreneurs while developing technical, analytical, and leadership skills in a global professional environment.

    Key Learning and Development Opportunities

    The program aims to equip participants with the skills needed to evaluate businesses, support entrepreneurs, and contribute to investment decisions.

    Key development areas include:

    • Assessing companies through analysis of business models, financial performance, and growth potential
    • Understanding and applying different investment mechanisms

    • Latin America

    • Have excellent English-language proficiency
    • Additional African language skills are considered an advantage
    • Ideally possess leadership experience through academic, professional, or extracurricular activities
