    Overview

    The Empowering Global Women in Management Program 2026 (GWIM 76) is a leadership development opportunity designed to strengthen the economic leadership and management capacity of women around the world. Implemented by Counterpart International with support from the ExxonMobil Foundation, this program equips women leaders with the knowledge, networks, and tools needed to drive inclusive economic growth and social change.

    Eligibility

    The program is specifically for early- to mid-career women leaders working in organizations that support women’s economic empowerment. Eligible applicants include:

    • Local NGOs
    • Cooperatives
    • Businesswomen’s associations
    • Microcredit organizations
    • Social enterprises
    • STEAM initiatives supporting women and girls
    Applicants must have:
    • A minimum of five years of experience in development programming
    • A minimum of three years of experience working on women’s economic empowerment initiatives
    • Strong English language proficiency
    • Availability to participate fully in in-person and online sessions
    Participants must also be available to travel to Washington, DC for the two-week in-person training.

    Benefits

    The program offers:

    • Intensive two-week in-person leadership training in Washington, DC from October 19 to October 30, 2026.
    • Online mentorship and learning sessions totaling approximately 16 to 20 hours from December 2026 to May 2027.
    • Access to resources, training, fellowship, and funding opportunities following the program.
    Additionally, graduates join a global network of over 1,000 GWIM alumnae.

    How to Apply

    Applicants must complete an online application form and submit required documents, including a Supervisor Endorsement Form confirming support from their organization. The endorsement form can be submitted after the application deadline but must be received by May 5, 2026.

    Deadline

    All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on April 30, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
