Job Title: Programme Manager
Location: Remote (Global, with preferred overlap within +/- 5 hours of UK time)
Closing Date: Thursday, 30th July 2026, Midnight BST
Contract: 6-month initial contract with potential extension
Remuneration: £250 per day, part-time (3 days per week)

About the Role

The School of International Futures (SOIF) is seeking a Programme Manager to support the Long-term Governance (LTG) practice.

This role involves managing complex international programmes, coordinating partnerships, and ensuring effective delivery of initiatives that promote systems change and better decision-making for current and future generations.

The position offers remote working with flexible hours, primarily three days per week, for an initial six-month period with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery & Coordination

• Translate ideas into clear plans, milestones, and delivery schedules
• Coordinate teams, timelines, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks early
• Develop systems to keep distributed teams organized and aligned

Convenings, Events & Travel

• Organize workshops, retreats, international events, and manage logistical arrangements
• Oversee third-party vendors, contracts, and operational details
• Ensure participants have a seamless experience before, during, and after events

Budget & Programme Operations

• Manage programme budgets, with a focus on third-party costs and financial reporting
• Capture and demonstrate impact to funders through reports and evaluations

Cross-workstream Coordination

• Foster connections between different LTG initiatives
• Identify collaboration opportunities and support strategic integration
• Assist colleagues in navigating priorities and maintaining visibility across projects

Programme Learning & Emergence

• Support adaptive planning in response to evolving contexts and opportunities
• Capture lessons learned to inform future initiatives
• Promote a culture of experimentation, reflection, and continuous improvement

• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder international programmes
• Strong relationship-building skills across organizations and networks
• Track record delivering high-quality events and collaborative initiatives

• Budget management and operational oversight abilities
• Ability to work effectively in fast-changing environments with evolving priorities
• Skilled in keeping teams organized, connected, and focused while encouraging learning
