Overview
MEFF is implementing the Nigeria Learning Passport Programme to improve learning outcomes for children and youth affected by conflict and displacement through digital and blended learning approaches. There are two positions available: Facilitator and Project Officer (Education).
Key Responsibilities
Facilitator:
- Deliver learning sessions using the Nigeria Learning Passport platform.
- Support learners with digital content and mentorship.
- Manage learning centers and report technical challenges.
- Monitor and report on learner progress and activity.
- Promote safe, inclusive, and gender-equitable learning environments.
Project Officer (Education):
- Support planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of education projects.
- Coordinate field activities, including school support and teacher training.
- Liaise with education authorities, schools, and community leaders.
- Collect and verify project data, conduct field visits, and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor guidelines.
Requirements
Facilitator:
- Minimum NCE, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in teaching, facilitation, or community education.
- Basic digital literacy with tablets and learning platforms.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages (Hausa, Kanuri, Shuwa Arabic preferred).
- Willingness to work in remote/insecure environments.
Project Officer (Education):
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in education or humanitarian/development projects.
- Knowledge of Education in Emergencies (EiE) desirable.
- Fieldwork experience in humanitarian settings.
- Proficient in MS Office.
