    Exciting Internship Opportunity at the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center

    Overview of the Position

    The Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center invites applications for the Fall 2026 Young Global Professionals Program.

    This internship offers a unique chance to engage with the intersection of economics, finance, and foreign policy.

    Based in Washington, DC, the position requires a minimum of four days per week in the office and provides an immersive experience in data visualization, research, event planning, publication, and social media management.

    Interns will contribute to shaping global economic discussions and gaining hands-on experience in international affairs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Support and Administrative Tasks

    • Assist with logistical and administrative duties for GeoEcon Center programming
    • Support the production of social media content across multiple platforms

    • Contribute to the creation of data visualizations and infographics
    • Maintain and update online publications and resources
    • Prepare research briefs, editing, and publication assistance

    Event Planning and Research

    • Collaborate on event organization and manage day-of-event activities
    • Conduct research on current events, stakeholders, and emerging issues

    • Draft event materials, speaker briefs, and background documents
    • Take notes during roundtables and strategy sessions for archiving
    • Track media mentions, program metrics, and contact lists

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • At least a college sophomore in good standing, graduate student, or recent graduate in international economics, finance, public policy, or related fields
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills

    • Excellent writing, research, and communication abilities
    • Interest in geoeconomics, international trade, fiscal & monetary policy, digital currencies, or global economic architecture
    • Eligibility to work full-time in the United States

    Highly Desired

    • Experience in team environments with multiple stakeholders
    • Data collection, cleaning, analysis with Excel, statistical software, or programming
    • Data visualization and graphic design skills

    • Social media management experience
    • Event planning expertise
    • Familiarity with data platforms like Macrobond, Bloomberg, or national statistical services
