🎯 Role Overview
The Field Implementation Support Officer will play a critical role in supporting the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of maternal and newborn health interventions across supported health facilities. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about improving healthcare outcomes and ensuring quality service delivery at both facility and community levels.
The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare workers, facility managers, and government stakeholders to ensure programmes are effectively implemented and aligned with national health standards.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to assigned health facilities to assess programme implementation
• Collect, verify, and report accurate maternal and newborn health data
• Ensure high standards of data quality, documentation, and reporting
• Provide on-the-job coaching, mentorship, and supportive supervision to healthcare workers
• Strengthen clinical practices, referral systems, and service delivery processes
• Support quality improvement initiatives within health facilities
• Collaborate with state-level stakeholders and partners to enhance programme effectiveness
• Identify gaps in service delivery and recommend actionable improvements
• Track performance indicators and contribute to programme evaluation and reporting
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Nursing, Midwifery, or any related health discipline
• Relevant experience in public health programmes, especially maternal and newborn health, is an added advantage
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems and service delivery in Nigeria
• Excellent data collection, analysis, and reporting skills
• Good communication, interpersonal, and training skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned states
