Fresh Life has announced applications for its Partnerships & Business Development Graduate Trainee Programme 2026, offering recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in fundraising, partnership development, grant management, and resource mobilization within the social impact sector.
The graduate trainee position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and is designed for ambitious early-career professionals seeking to build expertise in international development while contributing to expanding access to safe sanitation across Africa.
Applications are open until 22 July 2026, although Fresh Life has indicated that applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and the vacancy may close once a suitable candidate is identified.
Fresh Life is the founding partner of The Sanergy Collaborative and an award-winning social enterprise focused on transforming urban sanitation in rapidly growing African cities.
Since its establishment in 2011, the organization has worked alongside governments to deliver safe, non-sewered sanitation and waste management services in Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret (Kenya), and Lusaka (Zambia).
Today, Fresh Life serves more than 300,000 urban residents every day, safely removes approximately 20,000 tonnes of sanitation waste annually, and prevents around 30,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions from entering the atmosphere each year.
The organization employs more than 400 professionals and has received international recognition, including acknowledgment from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Fast Company for its innovative social impact initiatives.
The Partnerships & Business Development Graduate Trainee will work closely with Fresh Life’s fundraising team to identify funding opportunities, support proposal development, coordinate donor engagement, and strengthen strategic partnerships.
The programme provides graduates with valuable hands-on experience in business development while supporting the organization’s long-term sustainability and growth.
