Overview

The Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna offers a fully funded PhD in Human Rights, Global Politics and Sustainability for the 2026–2027 academic year hosted in Pisa, Italy.

Eligibility

• Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Candidates completing their degree by September 30, 2026, are also eligible.
• Degrees from outside core fields accepted with relevant knowledge.
• English proficiency is required; additional foreign language required (minimum A2 level).

• Annual scholarship of €19,740 (gross).
• Housing allowance of €2,200 (gross).
• Approximate net monthly stipend of €1,600.
