Overview

The Gender + AI Reporting Fellowship 2026, organized by the Africa Women Journalism Project (AWJP) in partnership with DW Akademie, is open for applications. This six-month fellowship aims to empower women journalists in Kenya to explore AI, technology, and gender issues.

• Women journalists based in Kenya
• Professionals working in print, radio, television, or digital media
• Freelance journalists are also eligible
