Overview

The West Africa Democracy Fund (WADF) 2026, launched by TrustAfrica, is a transformative funding opportunity aimed at strengthening democratic governance, civic participation, and institutional accountability across West Africa. This major grant initiative supports organizations working at local, national, and regional levels to reimagine governance systems and amplify citizens’ voices.

Eligibility

• Organizations based in or operating within Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, or Togo.
• Regional organizations working across the listed countries are also eligible.
• Must be legally registered organizations.
• Experience in governance, democracy, citizen engagement, political participation, and financial management capacity.
