    Overview

    The University of Liverpool, in partnership with the Institute of Irish Studies, offers the Humanitarian Scholarship in Irish Studies for the 2026 academic year. This scholarship is designed to support a Palestinian postgraduate student pursuing an MRes in Irish Studies.

    Eligibility

    • Apply for the Irish Studies MRes at the University of Liverpool
    • Be a Palestinian student registered with the UNRWA, or provide proof of residence in Gaza or the West Bank
    • Currently living outside the United Kingdom

    How to Apply

    The application process consists of several steps:

    • Step 1: Apply for the Irish Studies MRes by 1 April 2026 and include a personal statement.
    • Step 2: Complete the scholarship application form by 1 May 2026 with required documentation.
    • Step 3: Receive an offer which may be conditional or unconditional.
    • Step 4: If conditional, fulfill offer conditions such as providing academic transcripts and demonstrating English language proficiency.

    Deadline

    Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2026, for the programme and May 1, 2026, for the scholarship.
