ICMM Young Leaders Scholarship 2026 ·International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM)

Overview

This program offers a fully funded scholarship for young leaders aged 18–35 committed to sustainability and responsible mining. Selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3–6 November 2026.

Eligibility

• Aged 18–35 at the time of the Summit (7 June 2026)
• Demonstrated leadership in biodiversity conservation, decarbonisation, responsible natural resource production, or sustainability communication
• Proven impact through initiatives, projects, or work outside of formal employment
• Willingness to engage with fellow scholars and participate actively
• Candidates older than 35 may be considered based on impact and initiative demonstration

Applicants may be asked to submit additional documentation such as references or pitch videos, and participate in video interviews with representatives from ICMM and One Young World.
