The Iméra Institute for Advanced Study, part of Aix-Marseille Université, has announced the opening of applications for the prestigious FIAS (French Institutes for Advanced Study) Fellowship Programme for the 2027–2028 academic year. This international fellowship offers researchers the opportunity to develop innovative projects in France within a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.

Eligibility

The programme is open to international researchers at all career stages, from postdoctoral scholars to senior academics.
Applicants must hold a PhD and have at least two years of research experience (excluding PhD training).
Must not have spent more than 12 months in France during the three years prior to the deadline.
Submit a research project aligned with the programme’s interdisciplinary focus.
Artists applying to the programme must also hold a PhD.
