Key Responsibilities

• Conducting a systematic literature review on AI in participatory planning
• Carrying out qualitative and ethnographic fieldwork in urban environments
• Engaging with policymakers, practitioners, AI developers, and community stakeholders
• Designing and facilitating co-design workshops involving youth and AI tools
• Analyzing ethical, cultural, and institutional dimensions of AI integration
• Disseminating research findings through publications and conferences
• Contributing to teaching activities (approximately 15% of time)

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in urban planning, human geography, urban studies, anthropology, or related fields
• Experience with qualitative research methods such as ethnography, interviews, or focus groups
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Excellent command of English
• Additional experience in participatory design, digital tools, or AI ethics is an advantage

Benefits

• Monthly salary ranging from €3,059 to €3,881
• Full-time employment for four years (subject to performance evaluation after the first year)
