    Overview

    The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute is offering an exciting internship opportunity within its Food, Peace and Security (FPS) Programme.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct literature reviews and support qualitative research processes such as interview transcription and analysis.
    • Contribute to research progress reports and help synthesize findings for internal and external use.
    • Assist in organizing meetings with project partners and support preparations for fieldwork in countries.
    • Perform day-to-day coordination tasks, providing insight into managing complex international research initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Enrolled in a university programme or affiliated with an organization that supports internships.
    • Have valid insurance through their institution.
    • Provide a contact person (e.g., academic supervisor or programme coordinator).
    • Strong academic and personal interest in global development and peacebuilding.
    • Ongoing studies in fields such as international relations, political science, development studies, food security, or climate change.
    • Fluency in both English and French.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proactive mindset and interest in humanitarian work.
