Overview
The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) offers a unique 2026 Internship Program for young African scholars and professionals to gain hands-on experience in research, policy engagement, and capacity development.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a supervisor to develop internship objectives and a structured work plan.
- Provide regular updates and contribute to project deliverables.
- Participate in policy engagement and strategic planning activities.
- Deliver at least one Brown Bag Presentation (BBP).
- Submit a final written report before completion.
- Provide feedback on the internship experience.
- Participate in follow-up evaluation surveys.
Requirements
- Completed a bachelor’s degree within the last six months or be pursuing/completing a master’s degree.
- Trained in fields such as Population studies, Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Social sciences or related disciplines.
- Possess strong quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills (especially for research roles).
- Be a national of a sub-Saharan African country.
