🎯 Role Overview

The Safeguarding Intern will support the implementation and monitoring of safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) policies. You will work closely with the Safeguarding Manager to ensure compliance across programmes and partners.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Capacity Building
• Support safeguarding training for staff and partners
• Assist in developing and distributing IEC materials
• Participate in audits and compliance checks

Reporting & Response
• Act as a safeguarding focal point for reporting concerns
• Support reporting systems and referral pathways

Mainstreaming & Monitoring
• Help identify and mitigate safeguarding risks
• Maintain records and track safeguarding activities
• Support programme teams in applying safeguarding standards

🎓 Requirements

• Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Fresh graduate with up to 1 year experience
• Knowledge of safeguarding, GBV, or child protection (preferred)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Familiarity with Nigerian Child Rights Act and VAPP Act is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace

📌 Experience in humanitarian or emergency settings is a plus
