    The Powerful Georgetown Law Investigative Internship Program 2026 offers a hands-on opportunity for students and recent graduates interested in criminal law, public policy, and public interest work, providing real-world investigative experience supporting active criminal defense cases.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Locating and interviewing witnesses in communities and correctional facilities
    • Drafting statements and legal memoranda for court use
    • Conducting criminal background checks
    • Reviewing and analyzing police and surveillance footage
    • Collecting and summarizing case-related documents
    • Documenting and analyzing crime scenes
    • Creating evidence materials for trial
    • Assisting in trial preparation and other legal processes

    Requirements

    • Open to undergraduate students (especially juniors and seniors), recent graduates, and graduate students
    • No specific major required; applicants from diverse backgrounds encouraged
    • Strong communication skills and willingness to engage in field-based investigative work
