Overview

The ISEC Internship Program 2026 offers an immersive opportunity for postgraduate students to gain hands-on experience in social science research.

Key Responsibilities

• Building rigorous research capabilities through practical engagement with social science problems
• Refining and developing research questions suitable for advanced study or independent research
• Collaborating with faculty, researchers, and PhD scholars across ISEC’s nine academic centres
• Gaining experience in policy-oriented research methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches

Requirements

• Be a postgraduate student in social sciences
• Be currently between the 2nd and 3rd semesters of their Master’s program
• Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in research and the ability to engage with interdisciplinary topics in social science and policy

Benefits

• Duration: 8 weeks during May and August 2026
• Stipend: ₹5,000 per month
• Free accommodation for non-local interns and travel reimbursement for Train Non-AC Sleeper Class
