Overview
The Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) in Geneva is accepting applications for Programme Assistant positions for the 2026–2027 term, focusing on Human Impacts of Climate Change and Human Rights & Refugees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Programme Representative in linking climate policy with human rights and local action.
- Conduct research, draft reports and briefing notes, and facilitate meetings.
- Support work related to human rights in migration and international advocacy.
- Attend and report on UN meetings, assist with materials for the UN Human Rights Council.
- Coordinate events, maintain databases, and contribute to office culture.
Requirements
- Recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in international affairs, climate policy, or human rights.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent, excellent English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
- Familiarity with UN systems and knowledge of French or another UN language is an advantage.
- Applicants must be nationals of Switzerland or an EU/EFTA state, or have legal permission to work in Switzerland.
Benefits
- Gross monthly salary: CHF 4,262 (approx. CHF 3,600 net after deductions).
