    What Is This Fellowship About?

The Digital Fellowship exists to breathe new life into something the Kennan Institute has championed for over 50 years: intellectual exchange between the former Soviet Union and the West. Rather than requiring relocation or in-person residency, the programme’s digital format extends its reach across the globe an important step in adapting the institute’s fellowship model to its current era.

Fellows will be integrated into a professional network, receive financial support, and get direct help communicating their ideas to both the general public and the policy community in Washington, DC.

    What Will Fellows Actually Do?

    • Meet virtually once a month throughout the six-month program
    • Publish a piece for the general public and policy community, developed and edited in collaboration with Kennan Institute staff
