The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in partnership with the Institute for Global Social Responsibility (IGSR) at Hallym University in the Republic of Korea, has announced applications for the 2026–2027 KOICA Youth Leaders Program. The prestigious leadership and innovation initiative seeks to empower young professionals, government officials, researchers, entrepreneurs, and startup founders from selected West African countries with advanced skills in leadership, digital transformation, governance, and entrepreneurship.
The multi-stage capacity-building programme is designed to develop a new generation of African leaders capable of addressing socio-economic challenges through innovative, technology-driven solutions and collaborative leadership.
The KOICA Youth Leaders Program is a comprehensive leadership development initiative targeting young professionals from:
The programme focuses on strengthening participants’ competencies in:
Participants will undergo intensive training through online learning, in-country workshops in Ghana, and an opportunity for top performers to attend an advanced leadership programme in the Republic of Korea.

The final phase will take place at Hallym University in Chuncheon, Republic of Korea, during June 2027.
Only the top 60 participants will be selected for this stage based on overall performance throughout the programme.
