Looking to gain practical experience while building a career in global public health?

The Global Public Health Credentialing Board (GPHCB) is now accepting applications for its Volunteer and Internship Program, offering aspiring professionals the opportunity to work with an international organization dedicated to advancing public health education and professional development.

Designed for students, recent graduates, interns, and early-career professionals, the program provides hands-on experience in communications, digital marketing, administration, and public health initiatives. Best of all, no extensive work experience is required—only enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn.

    Volunteer and Internship Positions Available

GPHCB is currently recruiting for three exciting roles:

    • Social Media Marketing Assistant
    • Content Marketing Assistant
    • Executive Assistant

Successful applicants will contribute to a variety of projects that support the organization’s mission of strengthening public health education and professional engagement worldwide.

    What You Will Do

Depending on your assigned role, volunteers and interns may support activities such as:

    • Developing and managing social media content.
    • Assisting with digital marketing and communication campaigns.
    • Supporting webinar planning and promotional activities.
    • Creating educational and promotional content.
    • Providing administrative and executive support.
    • Coordinating organizational projects and communications.
    • Contributing to institutional growth initiatives.
    • Assisting with public health learning programs.

These responsibilities provide valuable practical experience while allowing participants to work alongside professionals in an international public health environment.

    Who Should Apply?

    The program is ideal for:

    • University students.
    • Recent graduates.
    • Interns seeking additional practical experience.
    • Early-career professionals.
    • Individuals interested in public health, communications, marketing, or organizational support.

Applicants do not need extensive professional experience. Instead, GPHCB is looking for candidates who demonstrate:

    • A strong willingness to learn.
    • Responsibility and professionalism.
    • Creativity and initiative.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • A positive attitude and commitment to personal growth.

Whether you are exploring a future career in public health or looking to strengthen your professional portfolio, this program offers an excellent starting point.

    Benefits of Joining the Program

Participants will receive much more than volunteer experience. Benefits include:

    • Practical experience with an international public health organization.
    • Mentorship from experienced public health professionals.
    • Opportunities to develop communication, marketing, and organizational skills.
    • Professional networking with peers and global public health leaders.
    • The chance to build a strong portfolio through meaningful projects.
    • Career guidance to support future professional development.

Upon satisfactory completion of the program, volunteers and interns may also receive:

    • A Certificate of Volunteer Service or Internship Completion.
    • Eligibility to request a Professional Recommendation Letter.
    • Consideration for future leadership or project opportunities within GPHCB for outstanding performers.

These benefits can significantly strengthen future applications for graduate programs, scholarships, fellowships, and employment opportunities.

    Why This Opportunity Matters

Many early-career professionals struggle to gain practical experience because entry-level positions often require previous work experience. GPHCB’s Volunteer and Internship Program helps bridge that gap by providing a supportive environment where participants can develop real-world skills while contributing to meaningful public health initiatives.

Participants will gain experience working in digital communications, project coordination, educational outreach, and organizational development—skills that are highly valued across nonprofit organizations, international agencies, universities, and the broader public health sector.
