Overview

This position offers the opportunity to work as a Learning & Development Specialist with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Abuja, Nigeria. The role focuses on developing and implementing learning and development activities to enhance staff capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and monitor L&D tools, processes, and plans in line with MSF standards.
Conduct learning needs assessments and develop Mission Learning Plans (MLP).
Collaborate with HR and departmental managers to support staff development across the employee lifecycle.
Coordinate and deliver training programs, workshops, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.
Lead induction programs, including the “Welcome to MSF” course.
Facilitate individual learning plans and support staff in achieving development goals.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of training activities and learning outcomes.
Monitor online learning platforms and provide regular reports on engagement and progress.
Evaluate L&D programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Act as a technical advisor on L&D matters and support projects across the mission when required.

Requirements

Education: Degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of two years in a relevant role; experience with adult learning methodologies and prior MSF or NGO experience is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of employee lifecycle and L&D processes; proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment; commitment to MSF principles.
Language: Advanced English proficiency (C1 level required); knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
