The UNESCO Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Young Scientists Awards is a prestigious global initiative designed to empower emerging researchers in ecology, biodiversity conservation, and sustainability science.

Eligibility

Must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application deadline.
Engaged in scientific research or postgraduate studies with a background in fields such as:

Environmental Science
Ecology
Biology
Geography
Natural Resource Management
Climate Science
Related interdisciplinary fields

Your research must be interdisciplinary and related to a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Must be endorsed by a UNESCO MAB National Committee or National Commission for UNESCO.
Research must be completed within 2 years.

Benefits

Financial support of up to USD $5,000 per research project.

Obtain national endorsement from the UNESCO MAB National Committee or National UNESCO Commission.
