Overview

Applications are open for the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB) 2026 Participation Grants, offering financial support for Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) from the Global South to attend the conference in Belgium. The grants aim to support emerging marine scientists and researchers.

Benefits

10 full participation grants worth €2,500 each will be awarded.
Funding is intended to support participation costs, including travel and conference expenses.

Eligibility

Must be an Early Career Ocean Professional (ECOP), under 35 years old, and from the Global South.
Must be enrolled in or affiliated with a BSc, MSc, PhD program, or a junior postdoctoral position.
Must have an accepted abstract (oral or poster presentation) at WCMB 2026.
The selection process will consider a motivation letter, letter of consent, and active conference participation.
