    Solidarités International (SI), an international humanitarian NGO with over 40 years of experience, has announced a vacancy for the position of MEAL Activity Manager in Gusau, Zamfara State. The organization is widely recognized for its commitment to providing life-saving assistance to populations affected by armed conflict and natural disasters, particularly in areas such as water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), food security, and livelihoods.

    The MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Activity Manager will be engaged on a full-time basis for an initial contract duration of five months, with the possibility of extension. The role is designed to ensure that project activities are effectively implemented, monitored, and aligned with organizational standards, while also strengthening accountability to affected populations.

    Reporting to the Field Coordinator, the MEAL Activity Manager will oversee the development and execution of monitoring plans and tools, ensuring accurate data collection, validation, and analysis. The role includes managing data systems, preparing monitoring reports, and supporting program teams in adhering to Solidarités International’s procedures and recommendations.

    The position also involves active participation in accountability strategies, including implementing communication with communities (CWC) approaches and ensuring that feedback and complaint mechanisms are accessible and responsive. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and rollout of accountability frameworks and support timely resolution of community feedback.

    In addition, the MEAL Activity Manager will be responsible for reporting and communication tasks, including preparing analytical reports, facilitating workshops, and disseminating findings to program teams. The role requires close collaboration with operational teams to support emergency responses, contingency planning, and program reviews.

    The candidate will also represent Solidarités International in relevant meetings and engagements, contributing to the visibility and understanding of the organization’s mandate and activities. Team management responsibilities include recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating staff, as well as ensuring compliance with safety and operational guidelines.

    Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, Business or Public Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is considered an added advantage. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant professional experience, including two years within an international NGO, preferably in a MEAL-related role.

    Strong technical skills in data analysis, monitoring tools, and team management are essential. Proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of Hausa is an added advantage. Applicants should also demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
