    Overview

    This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to engage in evidence-based policymaking by providing research and analytical support to members of the Meghalaya State Legislative Assembly.

    Eligibility

    • Must be a domicile of Meghalaya.
    • Age limit: 32 years or younger.
    • Educational qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Public Policy, Data Analytics, Humanities, Natural Sciences, or interdisciplinary studies.
    • Language proficiency in English plus one of Khasi, Garo, or Jaintia.
    • Preference for candidates with a strong understanding of Meghalaya’s society, culture, and history.
    • For Data Fellows: Proficiency in tools such as Excel, STATA, R, Python, Power BI, GIS, etc., and strong analytical and quantitative research capabilities.

    Benefits

    • Duration: Minimum 1 year, extendable to 2 years based on performance.
    • Monthly fellowship: ₹50,000 plus House Rent Allowance.
    • Additional benefits: Mobile allowance.
    • Direct exposure to legislative processes and policymaking.
