    Save the Children, a leading international humanitarian organization working in over 100 countries, is currently recruiting qualified and passionate professionals to fill multiple roles in Katsina State. These roles are critical in supporting child protection, mental health, education, and accountability programming in humanitarian and development contexts.

    1. MENTAL HEALTH AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT (MHPSS) OFFICER

    Role Overview
    The MHPSS Officer will lead the implementation of high-quality psychosocial support interventions aimed at improving the mental wellbeing and resilience of children and caregivers.

    Key Responsibilities (Expanded)

    • Identify vulnerable cases and ensure safe referrals to specialized services.
    • Support integration of MHPSS into Child Protection and Education programmes.
    • Facilitate community-based support systems such as child-friendly spaces.
    • Train stakeholders on psychosocial support and stress management.
    • Promote awareness and reduce stigma around mental health.
    • Ensure safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
    • Support monitoring, reporting, and programme improvement processes.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • BSc in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years post-NYSC experience in MHPSS or CP programmes.
    • Training in Psychological First Aid (PFA).
    • Experience in humanitarian settings is an advantage.
    • Fluency in English; Hausa is desirable.

    2. MEAL OFFICER – KATSINA

    Role Overview
    The MEAL Officer will ensure programme quality through monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems.

    Key Responsibilities (Expanded)

    • Design and implement MEAL frameworks and tools.
    • Conduct data collection, validation, and analysis.
    • Support surveys and programme evaluations.
    • Manage feedback and accountability mechanisms.
    • Train staff on MEAL systems and tools.
    • Produce reports and support data-driven decision-making.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • BSc in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field.
    • 2–3 years experience in MEAL.
    • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
    • Experience with Kobo/DHIS2 is an advantage.

    3. CHILD PROTECTION (CP) COORDINATOR – KATSINA

    Role Overview
    Provide leadership and technical oversight for child protection programming.

    Key Responsibilities (Expanded)

    • Lead programme design and implementation.
    • Supervise teams and ensure quality standards.
    • Coordinate case management and partnerships.
    • Provide technical support and training.
    • Represent organization in coordination forums.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Degree in Social Work, Law, Psychology, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in child protection.
    • Strong leadership and coordination skills.

    4. SUPPORT (MHPSS) OFFICER – KATSINA

    Role Overview
    Support implementation of psychosocial support activities at field level.

    Key Responsibilities (Expanded)

    • Deliver psychosocial activities for children and caregivers.
    • Assist in case identification and referrals.
    • Maintain activity records and reports.
    • Support community engagement and training sessions.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • BSc in Psychology or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
