Nawiri Impact Africa has announced a consultancy opportunity for a professional web developer to design and build a new organizational website as part of its transition into a fully independent and locally governed institution. Formerly operating as World Relief Kenya, the organization is undergoing a major rebranding and digital transformation process aimed at strengthening its public identity and expanding stakeholder engagement across Africa.
The consultancy call comes as the organization seeks to establish a credible and visible digital presence that reflects its new identity, mission, and impact within communities it serves. According to the Terms of Reference released by Nawiri Impact Africa, the new website will become the organization’s primary online platform for engaging donors, development partners, government institutions, job seekers, and local communities.
Nawiri Impact Africa stated that the website is a foundational component of its broader identity transition strategy. The organization noted that it currently lacks a standalone platform aligned with its new independent structure, making the project an urgent institutional priority.

The organization emphasized that the digital platform must reflect a locally rooted Kenyan identity rather than resemble a generic international NGO website template.
The selected developer will be responsible for designing and developing a fully responsive website optimized for mobile phones, tablets, and desktop devices. The platform will include multiple sections aimed at improving accessibility, transparency, and public communication.
The proposed site structure includes:
Nawiri Impact Africa indicated that the website must maintain a consistent visual identity using approved branding elements, typography, colors, and layout systems.
The Terms of Reference place strong emphasis on website security, accessibility, and performance optimization. Developers will be expected to implement industry-standard security measures including SSL certification, HTTPS configuration, automated daily backups, and CMS hardening.
In addition, the website must meet accessibility standards through:
The organization also highlighted the need for fast-loading performance, particularly in the Kenyan digital environment where many users rely on smartphones and varying internet speeds.
The selected consultant will also oversee foundational Search Engine Optimization (SEO) implementation to improve the organization’s visibility online. This includes configuring:
The organization further requires event tracking systems to monitor donations, contact form submissions, and website engagement metrics.
As part of the assignment, the website developer will integrate donation mechanisms such as:
The website must also include social media integration and correctly routed contact forms to ensure smooth communication with staff and stakeholders.
Nawiri Impact Africa stated that all written content, reports, and images required for development will be supplied internally, while the consultant’s role will focus on formatting, structure, and technical implementation.
The consultancy is expected to run in four phases over approximately eight to twelve weeks.
The selected consultant will also provide a 30 to 60-day post-launch support period for bug fixes and minor adjustments after deployment.
Expected deliverables include:
