    The Role

    As a Program Officer, Health Advocacy, you will play a key role in shaping and executing advocacy strategies that influence policy decisions, financing, and implementation across Nigeria’s health sector.

    This is not just about awareness—it’s about driving real outcomes, including:

    • Policies adopted and implemented
    • Increased funding for health priorities
    • Improved service delivery
    • Stronger accountability systems

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute health advocacy strategies aligned with national priorities
    • Support policy influence across primary healthcare, immunization, malaria, maternal & child health, and nutrition
    • Drive financing advocacy, including budget allocation and resource mobilization
    • Manage advocacy grants, partners, and stakeholder relationships
    • Translate complex data into clear, compelling policy messages and briefs
    • Support high-level government and partner engagements
    • Strengthen coalitions, champions, and accountability platforms

    What We’re Looking For

    • Advanced degree in Public Health, Policy, Development, or related field
    • Minimum of 6 years experience in health advocacy, policy, or communications
    • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s health system and policy landscape
    • Proven ability to influence policy, financing, or implementation outcomes
    • Experience working with government, donors, and civil society
    • Excellent writing, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
