    Overview

    This fully funded PhD studentship will explore how digital workplaces influence sustainability culture and promote environmental change agents within organizations, focusing on hybrid and remote work environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Explore how digital workplaces influence coalition building and the spread of sustainability culture.
    • Examine how individuals can act as effective "change agents" to promote sustainable practices and behavioral transformation in hybrid and remote settings.
    • Investigate the internal and external factors shaping pro-environmental behavior.
    • Analyze strategies individuals use to encourage sustainability initiatives.
    • Determine if technologies like digital platforms, green applications, or AI can help or hinder sustainability initiatives.
    • Combine research methods such as literature reviews, qualitative interviews, surveys, and case studies.

    Requirements

    • A first-class or upper second-class undergraduate degree (2:1 or equivalent) in Business, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or environmental social sciences.
    • A Master’s degree in a relevant subject area.
    • Demonstrated interest in the sociology of work, the future of work, human resource management, or environmental sustainability.
    • Experience in independent research methods (interviews, surveys, case studies).
    • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams.
