Roblox Opens Applications for 2027 Teen Council on Civility and Digital Well-Being @Being

Are you a young person passionate about online safety, digital well-being, gaming, and making the internet a better place for others? Roblox is inviting eligible teenagers to apply for its 2027 Teen Council for Civility and Well-Being.

The program gives young people the opportunity to share their perspectives directly with Roblox leaders and help shape initiatives related to safety, online civility, digital well-being, and the future of the platform.

About the Roblox Teen Council

Roblox launched its first Teen Council in 2024 to create a platform where young people could share their experiences and ideas about online communities. The initiative recognizes the importance of involving young users in discussions and decisions that directly affect their digital lives.

The 2027 Teen Council is expanding to include teenagers from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and the United States. Through the council, selected participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback on Roblox products, safety features, and initiatives designed to promote healthier and more positive online experiences.

What Has the Teen Council Achieved?

Previous Teen Council members have played an important role in helping Roblox understand the experiences and perspectives of young users.

Members of the 2026 Teen Council provided feedback on features including Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts, as well as new chat tools. They also engaged with Roblox teams working in areas such as safety, marketing, and engineering.

The council also contributed to the development of a youth-friendly guide to Roblox’s Community Standards. The guide uses simple language to help younger users better understand the platform’s rules. Feedback from young people also helped inform improvements to Roblox’s in-game reporting experience.

In addition, council members worked with media literacy organizations on digital well-being initiatives, including a public service announcement and resources created for young people.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the 2027 Teen Council, applicants must:

• Be between 13 and 17 years old.
• Live in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, or the United States.
• Be proficient in English.
• Have parental consent to apply.
• Be interested in topics such as digital well-being, online safety, civility, and youth engagement.

What Is the Program Duration?

The next Teen Council is expected to run from October 2026 to June 2027.

Selected members will have the opportunity to engage with Roblox representatives, share their perspectives, and contribute ideas that could help shape the future of online safety and digital experiences for young people.
