Security Engineer II - Vulnerability Management @Samsara

Overview

This role offers the opportunity to impact industries that drive the global economy through effective Vulnerability Management. As a Security Engineer, you will work on maintaining and enhancing Samsara's Vulnerability Management infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operation and maintenance of the vulnerability management program.
• Manage vulnerability scanning tools and refine detection capabilities.
• Generate and distribute compliance reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to track and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Analyze and triage vulnerabilities and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Participate in security incident investigations.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements.
• Champion company cultural principles in daily work.

Requirements

• Familiarity with security engineering best practices and common security vulnerabilities.
• Scripting experience, preferably in Python and Pandas.
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Experience in Linux-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Wiz, Semgrep) is a plus.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in security engineering or vulnerability management.
