Overview

This role is open for an Applied Scientist or Senior Applied Scientist level, focusing on refining complex problems into data-driven products and services. The position requires applying scientific methods to lead applied research programs that underpin new product features.

Key Responsibilities

• Refine tough problems into elegant data-driven products and services through scientific thinking and analytical data processing.
• Drive the rigorous application of scientific methods and lead applied research programs.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure models translate seamlessly from theory to real-world deployment.
• Develop and evaluate machine learning applications across various domains, including NLP and computer vision.
• Write testable, maintainable, and reusable code in Python or Scala to build data pipelines.
• Map business problems to machine learning domains to deploy and monitor intelligent algorithms.

Requirements

• Expert-level hands-on skills in an applied science domain with a proven record of deploying research in real-world settings.
• Strong foundation in probability, linear algebra, calculus, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Exceptional communication skills for sharing complex findings with technical collaborators and stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and grow technical capabilities within the team.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and understanding of their limitations.
• Aptitude for navigating ambiguity, coordinating dependencies, and managing project risks.
